Treasures of the Diamond Fund / work in progress 2026

The source of these works is intense dissatisfaction with the global geopolitical situation, especially the war in Ukraine caused by Russia. I don't want to be polite or deeply philosophical in these works. Their foundation is a genuine disgust with Russian politics and the priorities of its society, its imperialism, and its indifference to others' suffering. The core of these works is my personal protest and the realization that I am completely powerless to make any changes. This can be compared to hooligan writing rude words on a wall. The collages include images from the Soviet Union's diamond fund, burning Russian oil companies, war testimonies, and pictures of Russian politicians.
