Treasures of the Diamond Fund / work in progress 2026

The source of these works is deep dissatisfaction with the geopolitical situation worldwide, especially the war in Ukraine caused by Russia. I don't want to be polite or overly philosophical in these works. Their foundation is genuine disgust with Russian politics, the priorities of its society, its imperialism, and its indifference to others' suffering. These works are driven by my personal protest and the understanding that I am utterly powerless to make any change. It's like being a hooligan writing rude words on a wall. As the basis for collages serve images from the old book of the Soviet Union's diamond fund, burning Russian oil companies, war testimonies, and photographs of Russian politicians.
